Privacy Policy

In the course of our work, we gather personal and confidential information from our clients. Personal information is anything that we may have in our possession that could be used to identify you. We believe that it is important for you to know why we collect such information, how it is used and disclosed, how it is stored and secured, and how and when it is disposed.

  • We use personal information when preparing personal or corporate income or sales tax returns, compiling financial statements, performing bookkeeping and payroll functions and other accounting or financial services on your behalf, or when advising you regarding the purchase of mutual funds or other investments.
  • We may use personal information in the preparation and presentation of workshops, seminars or keynote addresses to your organization.
  • We may be required to provide information to Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, the Ontario Ministry of Finance or other government agencies to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
  • We may provide information to these agencies and departments as your representative provided you have given us written authorization to do so.
  • We may share your information with consultants, sub contractors or outside suppliers as necessary for the proper completion of the work we do for you. These parties are bound by our privacy policy.
  • We may provide information to your spouse or other family member if you have given us written authorization to do so.
  • We will use information such as telephone number, e-mail address or mailing address if we need to contact you directly concerning the work we do for you or concerning matters that we feel would be of interest to you.

We take reasonable precautions to ensure your information is stored securely, and that only authorized personnel are allowed access to it. Your information is maintained on file for at least seven years, as required by Canada Customs and Revenue Agency. Your information will be shredded or otherwise disposed of in a secure manner when we no longer require it.
